De Linear Metals hanglamp – wat maan betekent in het Fins – is ontworpen om zowel direct als indirect licht te geven door simpelweg de binnenste cirkel van de lamp te draaien. De draaihoek is onbeperkt dankzij een draadloze elektrische verbinding tussen de onderdelen.
De Linear Metals hanglamp is geïnspireerd op sfeervolle verlichting. De ontwerpster wilde een lamp creëren die verstelbaar is van directe naar indirecte verlichting, afhankelijk van de uiteenlopende lichtbehoeften gedurende de dag. Door de beweegbaarheid van de lamp verandert de vorm voortdurend en neemt verschillende halvemaan- en ronde vormen aan, die doen denken aan de vorm van de maan in verschillende perioden.
